Jyoti Niwas

The Jyoti Niwas Department at Help and Care (Sahayog Ra Sarokar) was established in 2001. This department supports the rights of economically disadvantaged orphans by providing them with shelter under the institution’s care. The children are nurtured in a residential home where special attention is given to food, shelter, education, health, sports, and recreation, ensuring their holistic development and preparing them to become capable citizens. The Jyoti Niwas Children’s Home was first established in 2001 in a rented house in Banepa with a few children. By 2003, as the number of children increased to 44, the home was relocated to Dhulikhel. For several years, it was operated from rented houses. In 2006, the children’s home was finally moved to the organization’s own building at Korakhel, Dhulikhel. At present, the children’s home houses 16 children under its care.
